The Oakland Raiders play host to the Kansas City Chiefs in NFL week 7 and the betting markets for this game have seen the point spread hold at Oakland (-3.5). Leading into this game the Raiders are 4-2 straight up with wins over the Browns (24-17), Texans (25-20), Jets (34-24), and Broncos (23-20). They have fallen short aginst the Patriots (19-31) and the Bills (35-38). On average the Raiders offense has scored 26.67 points per game and their defense has allowed 25, giving them a positive points differential of +1.67. The Chiefs on the other hand have a negative points differential of -2.92 due to their offense averaging only 15.4 points per game and their defense allowing an average of close to double that with 30. Before their bye last week Kansas City had won their previous two games with wins over the Colts (28-24) and Vikings (22-17). Prior to that they had lost to the Chargers (17-20), Lions (3-48) and Bills (7-41).

The verdict - well here at our numbers suggest a play on the Raiders but we are leaving this one alone. Of course those numbers, or the Oakland side of the equation at least included an Oakland team with Jason Campbell at quarterback. Whether Carson Palmer or Kyle Boller get the start we simply don't have any data to validate a play and while they may very well still get the win we live by the old gamblers saying "when in doubt, leave it out".
