With the dust only just settling from all of the week 9 action, we jump straight back in as NFL week 10 starts off Thursday night with division rivals the San Diego Chargers hosting the Oakland Raiders. The Latest NFL Lines sees the Chargers as -7 point spread favorites which is half a point more than the opening -6.5. The over under total line is currently at o/u 47.5, down a point from opening and in NFL Odds betting the Chargers are -310 (1.32) and the Raiders +273 (3.73).

The Chargers managed to score 38 points against the Packers in week 9, trouble was they allowed 45 and went down by 7 points. Oakland also had a loss, going down to the Denver Broncos 24-38 on the road. Season to date the San Diego Chargers are 4-4 straight up with wins over the Vikings (24-17), Chiefs (20-17), Dolphins (26-16) and Broncos (29-24). Meanwhile their losses have been against the Patriots (21-35), Jets (21-27), Chiefs (20-23) and Packers (38-45). The Chargers record against the closing point spread is 2-6, over under is 4-4 and if you had wagered $100 on them each week at the closing money line odds you would be down -$283.

The Oakland Raiders also have a 4-4 straight up record, their wins (of which three were with Jason Campbell at quarterback) were against the Broncos (23-20), Jets (34-20), Texans (25-20) and Browns (24-17). Oakland has fallen short against the Bills (35-38), Patriots (19-31), Chiefs (0-28) and Broncos (24-38). In NFL line betting the Raiders do have a favorable 5-3 ATS record while they are 4-4 in over unders and +$111 in moneyline odds wagering for $100 bets each week.

When it comes to league stats the Chargers have a points differential of -.62 with an average of 24.88 points per game while conceding 25.5 pts per game. They are ranked (6th) in the league for average yards per game with 407, (4th) for passing yards 294.9 and (16th) for rushing with 112.1. Oakland has a point's differential of -4 given their average ppg of 23 and their points against of 27. They have averaged 371.9 yards per game (10th), 220 passing yards per game (19th) and 151.9 rushing yards (3rd).

The Verdict - the importance of this divisional clash will not be lost on either side and it should be entertaining. The focus here at theFootballLines.com is of course NFL betting and to that end our numbers for the odds, point spread and over under total are in agreement with the sportsbooks lines so no plays for this game.
