The Redskins booked their playoff spot last week with a 28-18 home win over the Cowboys. That took their season tally to 10-6 with a points differential of +3 care of scoring an average of 27.25 points while allowing 24.25. Washington are another team who head into the playoffs on a roll having won their last seven games straight. While some have questioned the caliber of their opponents over this period, winning is winning and confidence and momentum are huge assets this time of the season.

Seattle finished the season with 7 wins from their last 8 games, including wins over STL (20-13), SF (42-13), BUF (50-17), ARI (58-0) and CHI (23-17). The Seahawks went 11-5 for the season with a point's per game differential of +10.44, on the road they went 3-5 (+2.38). Seattle were the best defensive team in the NFL this regular season allowing an average of just 15.31 points per game.

Wagering on the Redskins and Seahawks throughout the season would have proved profitable with Washington ranking 3rd in our NFL Moneyline Odds Results showing a profit of +$705 against the opener while Seattle placed 5th with +$551. In NFL point spread betting both the Redskins and Seahawks finished with 11-5 (+$545) records which along with the Colts and Rams topped the league. Over under betting results saw Washington go 9-7 and Seattle finish 8-8.

The way we see it - here at our no vig handicapping pretty much agrees with the sportsbooks odds and lines. We priced this game with Seattle around -161 ($1.62) and Washington +162 ($2.62) with a point spread of around 3.5, so we will be leaving this game alone. While our figures say the Seahawks there is little denying that they are harder to stop at home than on the road, so maybe with some RG III magic and some home town support anything is possible, should be fun finding out!
