NFL week 14 gets under way with Thursday night football when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cleveland Browns. This is the first meeting of the two teams this regular season, with the re match scheduled for week 17. The Latest NFL Point Spread Lines see the Steelers as -14 point home favorites, which is where the line opened. The over under total is down a full point from the opener and currently sits at o/u 38.5. In NFL Odds markets Pittsburgh opened at -775 (1.13) and have tightened a little into -955 (1.10), while the odds makers have Cleveland at +739 (8.39) after opening at +621 (7.21).

Pittsburgh are coming off a (35-7) home win over the Bengals in a game in which the Steelers scored 28 points in the second quarter, 7 in the third and neither team scored in the 1st or 4th quarters. The Steelers are 9-3 straight up overall with an average of 22.33 points per game on offense and 16.25 on defense, giving them a point's differential of +6.08. At home they are 5-1 with a point's differential of 13.67. In NFL betting results Pittsburgh are 6-6 against the closing point spread, 6-6 in over under betting and show a +$71 profit against the closing money line odds (for $100 bets each week).

Cleveland are playing against an AFC North opponent for the 3rd week in a row after going down to the Bengals (20-23) in week 12 and the Ravens (10-24) last week. The Browns are 4-8 straight up with an overall -5.42 points differential, while on the road they are 1-4 with a -6 differential. Wagering results for the Browns sees them with a 4-7-1 record against the closing NFL point spread, 5-7 in over under totals results and -$460 in odds betting.

Looking ahead the Steelers finish this regular season with games against the 49ers on the road next week, followed by the Rams at home and then a visit to Cleveland to conclude the regular season. As mentioned, Cleveland is playing their 3rd division game in as many weeks. They then travel to Arizona followed by two more division games with a visit to Baltimore and then the Steelers again, this time at home.

The verdict - has no play on the money line and the over under total is pretty much in agreement with our number. We do see value on the Browns against the point spread and have bought a half point and taken them at +14.5. The +14 would still be acceptable, however where and when we can get the half point on a key number at the right price we will.
