The final game of this weekends NFL Divisional Playoff games sees the Green Bay Packers playing host to the New York Giants. The Packers opened as -9 point spread favorites however that line has moved a full point with Latest NFL Lines offering the Packers at -8. The over under line opened at O/U 51.5 and has also moved a point to currently sit at O/U 52.5. In NFL Odds markets the Packers are -350 (1.29) and the Giants can be backed at +305 (4.05).

Eli Manning and the New York Giants come into this game with some momentum having beaten the NYJ (29-14), DAL (31-14) and ATL last week (24-2). The Green Bay Packers finished the regular season with a loss to KC (14-19), a win over CHI (35-21) and a win against DET (45-41) in a game that Aaron Rodgers was rested. The bye and resting players is widely seen as a positive as it gives players a chance to freshen up and get over niggling injuries. The flip slide is that these guys are conditioned to play week in week out and in the case of Aaron Rodgers his last game was nearly 3 weeks ago on Dec 25th. He is no doubt one of the best and this may make no difference to his performance what so ever, but he will need to pick up where he left off because (15-1) means little now, this is the playoffs and the losers have to pack their bags.

The Green Bay Packers

The Packers finished with a near perfect 15-1 record and are 8-0 at home. In those eight home games the Packers averaged 40.13 points per game and conceded an average of 21.38 for a point's differential of (+18.75). In NFL betting results for the regular season Green Bay went 11-5 against the closing point spread and 11-5 in over under betting. Against the opening money line odds they showed a profit of +$450 (for $100 bets each week) and +$512 against the closing odds.

The New York Giants

Clinching 1st in the NFC East, the New York Giants went 9-7 in the regular season with a 5-3 road record. On the road the Giants have averaged 26 points per game and allowed an average of 26.88 for a differential of (-0.88). When it comes to the Giants NFL wagering results for the regular season, they are 8-7-1 ATS, 9-7 in over under results and +$598 (open) and +$651 (close) against the money line odds. Postseason the Giants defeated the Falcons last week (24-2). The NFL point spread for that game saw them start as -3 point favorites, they closed at around -144 (1.69) on the moneyline and the over under total was 47.5. It ended as an easy cover and moneyline win for their backers as well as cashing on the under.

Their last encounter

The Packers and the Giants last met week 13 in New York, in a close game in which the Packers got the victory (38-35). The wagering results for that game saw the New York Giants cover the point spread (+7), the total went sailing over the close of O/U53.5 and the Green Bay Packers cashed on the moneyline at odds around -295 (1.34).

The verdict - At this stage TheFootballLines.com's numbers don't see sufficient value on the spread or moneyline odds. If the point spread were to drop to +/- 7 before game time we would take the Packers -7 however that does not look likely at this stage. We do have a play on the over under where we have taken under 54 at -110 (1.91) after buying a point and a half.
